Welcome to The Cove!

The Cove is a satellite provision supporting SEND learners based at Courtfields School. Our aim is to help every learner achieve their full potential academically, socially, and personally. We currently cater for pupils from Year 7 to Year 11, working closely with the Courtfields team to ensure that learning is accessible and meaningful for all. 

At The Cove, we provide targeted interventions and additional support to strengthen understanding and build confidence. This collaborative approach allows learners to access lessons and opportunities across both settings. Alongside our core curriculum, pupils take part in sessions that develop social communication, turn-taking, and independence skills, preparing them for life beyond school. 

Preparation for adulthood is a key focus at The Cove. Our learners engage in a variety of life-skills activities and experiences designed to build confidence and readiness for the future. This year, some pupils are beginning their academic qualifications in English and Maths, as well as taking part in a weekly Vocational session working towards a basic cooking qualification. Learners also benefit from a one-week work experience placement, providing valuable insight into the world of employment.
