Welcome to Grove 3 Class!
Grove 3 is a caring, and gentle Sixth Form Class at Selworthy School. It is made up of seven learners in year 12 and 13 who bring energy and laughter to everything we do. Each day is filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and celebrate achievements, both big and small. Our focus is on developing essential life skills that help each learner become more independent and confident in their everyday routines.
We take part in a range of engaging, hands-on activities that make learning fun and meaningful. One of our favourite sessions is Attention Autism, where we enjoy bucket activities that capture everyone’s focus and curiosity through exciting, sensory experiences. These sessions encourage communication, attention, and shared enjoyment—skills that carry over into every part of our day.
We also place great importance on developing communication skills in every activity. Pupils are supported to use speech, signs, symbols, and communication aids to express themselves, make choices, and share their ideas. This helps build confidence, understanding, and strong relationships within our class community.
Our class is supported by a fantastic team of staff who ensure that every pupil feels safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Grove 3 is truly a happy place where learning, laughter, and friendship flourish every single day.
