Welcome to Croyde Class!

Croyde is a vibrant exploratory group comprising 10 enthusiastic learners in Key Stage 4, across Years 10 and 11. Our learners thrive through exploration, hands-on experiences, and practical learning opportunities that help bring concepts and skills to life. Each learner brings their own strengths, interests, and perspectives, creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

At the heart of our teaching approach is the "I do, We do, You do" model, which provides learners with clear demonstrations, guided practice, and opportunities to develop independence. Through regular individual teaching, modelling, and tailored support, learners are encouraged to build confidence, develop new skills, and achieve their personal goals. The small class size allows for strong relationships to be formed and ensures that learning can be personalised to meet individual needs.

Learners in Croyde participate in daily Phonics or Spelling, Mathematics, and Communication, Language and Literacy (CLL) sessions. During these lessons, learners are supported to express their opinions, make choices, and develop their communication skills in meaningful and engaging ways.

In addition, learners take part in Vocational Studies, where they explore a range of occupations and develop the skills needed to work effectively alongside others. Through practical experiences and collaborative activities, learners build independence, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of the wider world.

Together, we create a supportive and inspiring learning environment where curiosity is encouraged, achievements are celebrated, and every learner is empowered to develop a lifelong love of learning and discovery.
