Welcome to Lavender Class!

Lavender Class is an exciting primary class based at Oakhill Campus. We are a lovely group of 9 learners, each following a personalised curriculum, to support our learning journey. We all take part in academic learning, and approach this in different ways. Some of us love messy play, whilst others enjoy mark-making, writing and drawing.

Throughout the week, we have our Communication, Language and Literacy (CLL), maths, science, art and creativity, technology, PSHE, RE and PE lessons. On top of this we love to explore and make use of our sensory garden and the outdoor areas. Once a week we also get chance to participate in cooking lessons, which is great fun! We definitely enjoy trying our finished products.

During lunchtimes, we stay in the classroom to eat and spend time enjoying the social aspect of eating together. This is a time to develop our communication and social skills and share things that we have enjoyed so far in the day. This is also an opportunity to use our communication devices, or practice our verbal skills to ask for help, or support with self-care routines.

Lavender class is an inclusive environment, where we all support each other to achieve our highest potential.
