Welcome to Juniper Class!

Juniper Class is a lively and engaging learning environment with early communication skills at the heart of our learning. In Juniper, we work together with modelling from our classroom adults to work through a differentiated curriculum to support all needs of our learners. We are a Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 class who are working within our schools Exploratory and Developing curriculum streams. 

In Juniper Class, we focus on instilling school routines and exploring different communication systems including learning grids and boards, now and next systems and using Makaton signing throughout. We support learners to begin to learn independence and life skills which are needed as they progress throughout the school and into the community, as well as looking at and sharing our emotions. 

Juniper is full of energy and enthusiasm from everyone enjoying music, singing, signing, sensory play and making the most of each day and having fun.
