The Cove is an exciting project which was established in September 2022. The provision has enabled more learners, with an EHCP, to remain with their peers in a local mainstream secondary.

There are a small team of specialist teaching and support staff and they are also supported by a Link Teacher, who is on site at Court Fields. The satellite provision is based near Court Fields School, in what was the Youth Centre. This enables a smooth transition between both sites.

Learners have modified timetables to give them the best of both worlds! On site at Court Fields, they have tailored support in lessons with adapted work and communication aids where appropriate. At The Cove, learners have individual, personalised timetables enabling them to focus on EHCP targets, interventions, core subjects and homework.
