About the Hazelbrook Campus

Hazelbrook Campus is home to our Secondary Phase. Learners are taught across 2 ‘Wings’, our Sand Wing houses our 5 KS3 classes and our Pebble Wing houses our 5 KS4 classes.

Our dedicated team works closely with families, professionals, and the wider school to foster independence, confidence, and lifelong skills. The Secondary curriculum builds upon the skills taught within the Primary Phase through age and stage appropriate topics. As learners progress into KS4 they are given more autonomy in their learning by choosing which Vocational qualifications they would like to work towards. KS4 learners are also given the opportunity to participate in Functional English and Maths qualifications, alongside an Employability qualification, as appropriate.

Independence remains at the core of the Hazelbrook campus. Learners are taught key life skills in order to prepare them to be as independent as possible in life post Selworthy. Through a combination of structured learning, therapeutic support, multi-sensory approaches and enrichment opportunities, we aim to prepare our students for meaningful futures—whether that’s further education, employment, or active participation in their communities.
