Food Vouchers
We understand that times can be challenging, and we want to ensure every child has access to healthy, nourishing meals. If your family is eligible for Free School Meals, you may also be entitled to food vouchers to help with the cost of groceries during school holidays or periods of closure.
If you think you might qualify, or if you’d like more information, please contact Emma Porter in confidence E-mail: eporter@selworthy.oak.education. We’re here to help and will guide you through the application process.

Lords Larder in Chard
The Lord’s Larder is Chard’s local food bank, providing emergency food parcels to individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardship. The service began through Chard Churches Together and is now a registered charity supported by local volunteers. Non‑perishable food items are donated by residents, churches, schools, and local businesses to help ensure that no one in the community goes without essential supplies. The Lord’s Larder aims to offer a warm, confidential, and respectful service to all who come to them.
Foodbanks Across Somerset
Somerset County Council provides a directory of food banks across the region. You can use the Somerset Food Resilience Map to locate the nearest support option.
This includes a variety of community‑run foodbanks beyond Taunton for families who may live in neighbouring areas.
