Last week, Selworthy School Hazelbrook proudly hosted our annual Progress Awards and Leavers’ Assembly 2025, a joyful celebration of achievement, perseverance, and exciting futures.

🌟 The Progress Awards shone a light on learners across Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 who’ve made incredible strides academically, socially, and personally. Each class nominated one learner who had shown remarkable progress over the year—and every winner truly deserved their moment in the spotlight. Families joined us to celebrate, filling the hall with proud smiles, supportive applause, and a few joyful tears.

🎉 The Leavers’ Celebration was equally emotional, offering time to reflect on cherished memories, friendships and the personal journeys each learner has taken. Staff, peers and parents gathered to cheer on our leavers as they take their next steps toward independence.

🚀 Looking Ahead: Destinations for 2025

We’re thrilled to share where some of our learners are heading:

• 🎯 One learner is joining The Bold and Brave Supported Internship, ready to embrace new opportunities with ambition and heart.

• 🏡 One learner is heading to Meadowbank, continuing their journey in a nurturing and supportive environment.

• 🌳 Two learners are joining Reflect PMLD, a specialist support service based in the Woodland Barn at Hestercombe, where they’ll experience enriching, one-to-one activities that nurture communication, creativity, and wellbeing.

• 📚 More than 10 learners will begin exciting new chapters at Taunton College, each one stepping confidently into their future.

To every learner moving on: we are so proud of you. Your kindness, resilience, and growth have left a lasting mark at Selworthy—and we can't wait to see what you achieve next.
