On Monday 10th November, Hazelbrook welcomed an exciting Motocross Workshop led by Gary Roper from the GSR MX Coaching Team. Gary, an ACU Nationally Accredited Motocross Coach, brought his expertise and enthusiasm to share with our learners.

Twelve students took part across the morning, split into two groups with each enjoying a one-hour session. The workshop began with an introduction to motocross, where learners explored the van, lights and workshop setup. Safety was a key focus, with Gary explaining the equipment needed to ride. Learners then had the chance to sit on the bikes, get a feel for them and even rev the engines to experience the thrill first hand.

The sessions also included an interactive quiz, links to career opportunities and time for questions and feedback. It was a fantastic opportunity for our learners to discover more about motocross, understand the importance of safety and see how skills from the sport can connect to future pathways.
