Vocational Learning for KS4 and KS5 at Selworthy School

At Selworthy, our vocational curriculum for KS4 and KS5 learners is designed to build real-world skills, independence, and confidence. Each learner selects two vocational options, delivered on Monday and Thursday afternoons, allowing them to explore areas of interest and prepare for life beyond school.

Our current vocational options include:

• Employability and Social Development
• Hospitality and Catering
• Land-Based Studies
• Sport, Leisure and Tourism
• Retail and Service Enterprise
• Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE)

These sessions offer practical, hands-on experiences that support learners in developing transferable skills, gaining insights into different industries and working towards their personal aspirations.
