Welcome to Sage Class!
Welcome to Sage Class!
In Sage Class, we strive to achieve a classroom that is a calm, nurturing, and engaging space. Our learning is designed to support the unique learning needs of everyone in the classroom. We are proud to have a wonderful group of learners who enjoy exploring, discovering, and growing together each day.
In Sage Class, we provide a structured yet flexible environment where every child can feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. The classroom is thoughtfully organised to support a range of learning styles and sensory needs.
We have:
-
Quiet zones for pupils who benefit from a calm, low-stimulation space.
-
Sensory areas that offer opportunities for exploration, regulation, and relaxation through touch, sound, and movement.
-
Practical work areas where learners can engage in hands-on tasks, problem-solving, and creative projects.
-
Group spaces that encourage communication, teamwork, and social interaction.
Our learners in Sage Class are a wonderful mix of sensory learners and formal/practical learners.
-
Sensory learners engage best through experiences that involve movement, texture, sound, and light. We use sensory stories, play-based activities, and sensory circuits to help them connect with the world around them.
-
Formal and practical learners thrive with structured routines, visual supports, and opportunities to apply their skills in meaningful, real-life contexts.
We celebrate every achievement big or small and focus on developing communication, independence, and confidence in a way that suits each individual. Our goal is to make learning enjoyable and accessible for every child in Sage Class.
