Futures Week 2026 was a huge success, giving our learners 11 careers encounters across just five days with every learner taking part and some experiencing up to five different activities. We welcomed a fantastic range of visitors, including MCS Building Services, Lush, the NHS, Avon & Somerset Police, Platform Rail, Self Love Hair & Beauty and a specialist SRT CPR workshop. Each session offered something different, from hands‑on demonstrations to real‑life equipment and sensory experiences that helped learners explore the world of work in an engaging, accessible way.

We also enjoyed two brilliant off‑site trips: Blackbrook Leisure Centre in Taunton, where learners explored roles in sport, fitness and customer service and Singer Instruments in Minehead, offering a fascinating insight into science, technology and laboratory work. 

Our learners approached every encounter with enthusiasm and confidence, trying new things and meeting inspiring professionals. A huge thank you to everyone involved especially all our fantastic visitors who made the week so inspiring.
