Futures - Digital Workshops

Hazelbrook recently welcomed Dr Beth Lane for an exciting day of digital learning. Dr Lane delivered three engaging workshops, one for each key stage, giving all learners the opportunity to develop their digital skills.

Two of the workshops focused on coding using Scratch, where learners explored how code can be used to solve problems and create digital outcomes. The third workshop introduced learners to the role of an AI developer. Pupils were challenged to spot the differences between AI-generated content and real content, encouraging critical thinking and digital awareness.

Learners then combined their new knowledge of AI with Scratch coding to identify whether online reviews were positive or negative, gaining insight into how technology can analyse language and data.

It was a fantastic day enjoyed by everyone, and learners gained valuable knowledge about the digital world. We are looking forward to building on these new skills in our future technology lessons.
